Jesus Andres Guzman

Born in Venezuela, he spent five years as the first violinist of the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela, under the esteemed conductors Gustavo Dudamel and Diego Matheuz. Recently, he performed in the orchestra for Snoop Dogg’s Holiday Halftime Party on Netflix during the 2025 Christmas Day NFL game. In 2024, he performed in the String Section for Stevie Wonder at Target Center, and in 2023, he performed in the strings section at Mystic Lake Casino, where he played for Lauryn Hill. He also contributed to the recording of YourClassical Minnesota Public Radio’s “Folk Classics Across the Globe” in 2024. In 2021, he received a Special Mention in the Medici International Music Competition, and in 2022, his composition “Añoranza” (Nostalgia) was recognized as a Best Original Song at the Z-Film Festival XIII in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His musical journey began in Venezuela, where he studied violin in the National Network of Youth and Children Orchestras, also known as El Sistema. He further honed his skills at the Simon Bolivar Conservatory of Music and the Latin American Violin Academy in Caracas. Internationally, he has performed as a featured soloist and toured with various orchestras, under the guidance of renowned conductors such as Simon Rattle, Maxime Pascal, Christian Vasquez, and Dick Van Gasteren. Currently, he teaches at the Greater Twin Cities Youth Symphonies (GTCYS), where helped students prepare for auditions of all levels
